Three original images are combined in Photoshop to create main image.

The combined image is them converted to black and whte, then reversed and printed out digitally as a negative on waterproof screen positive film.

The negative is laid out on watercolor paper along with cutouts of the apple images from another negative

Color is applied with dry pastels that will be under the negative. And drawing is also done with oil pastels to add leaf shapes around the apples.

The photo-sensitive cyanotype solution is burshed on to the paper in dim light and allowed to dry.

When dry, the negatives are positioned and it is all sandwiched between plywood and plate glass and held in place by clamps.

The assemblage is placed in sunlight to expose the image. In this case for about 15 min.

Cyanotype is called a printing-out process and development is done in water. It is rinsed 3 times and then hung to dry.

Finished piece.
